ANTARTICA headquartered at Rua Dr. Francisco Vale Guimarães, parish of S. Vicente de Pereira, Ovar municipality, came in the wake of a family business established in 1958 by the administrators father, Ílidio Correia.
In 1985 there was a transition from a sole proprietorship to ANTARTICA that by now dedicated itself to the exportation of their products.
The company grew and in 1999 reached a turnover of more than 10M €, exporting more than half a million pairs of shoes for women of medium / high quality for the EEC, Australia and New Zealand.
Óscar Silva is in charge of the commercial department whereas António Silva of the financial department, both administrators at ANTARTICA.
